Cathy Salvodon, a native New Yorker, began her professional acting career after a dear friend dared her to go after it! Never one to shy away from a challenge, she made her television debut, shortly thereafter, on the Oprah Winfrey Network. She has since appeared on various networks and streaming platforms including NBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, to name a few. She continues to perform in a wide variety of contexts ranging from TV, film, theatre, and commercials.
Recent TV/Film credits include NBC's hit drama The Blacklist, Marvel's Jessica Jones, NBC's The Enemy Within, independent feature The Russian Room, and a recurring role on Amazon Prime's digital soap opera Asunder: The Series. Highlights of her theatre credits include the role of Winnie Mandela in the East Harlem Repertory Theatre production of Mandela and as Izzie Fairchield in The Weak Ones, an official selection of New York City's Thespis Festival. She has also been featured in several commercials for major brands including Denny's, United Airlines and HP.
Cathy holds a B.A. in Theatre, has studied at the Atlantic Theatre Acting School and continues to train at Sedgwick Acting Studio and Heidi Marshall Studio. Firmly believing that actors should always be working on their craft, she frequently attends workshops and master classes and has studied under the likes of Felicity Huffman, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick and much more. When she is not performing or training, Cathy works as a registered nurse. She has also been blessed with the privilege
